hk/shenzhen/macau05.

hEy..:)

me ish baaa-ck!
hahaha..HK rawked:) and shenzhen and macau were pretty cool too..

where do i start.. haha..
there was nice shopping of course..and great food..
for the record, the 4 of us checked in 3 luggages when we flew there. when we came back there were 7. :S

believe my canto improved a tiny leetle bit! haha. but most of the time me and my big sis were like ducks and chickens when we were talking (ji1 tong2 ya1 jiang3)to the locals...

Canto Bit!:
mm goi = thankew. :)

yepyep. though got a bit scared by the sales people there in the shops.. be it in shenzhen or hk.. they're really pretty persistent.. stick to u the moment u enter the shop.. everytime u pick up something they'll go on for ages about it, trying to persuade u to buy.. then some really get annoyed when u dont buy after they've explained.. it really showed on their faces man.. quite scary. haha.. but good thing its not really ALL the shops lah.. haha or maybe i learnt to show a super dao face so they wouldnt come near me so much anymore.

hk is really quite ahead of us in fashion man..hmm i guess the people in general are more daring and open to new styles and all? was also super excited when we went on our day tour of hk cos we went to a lot of those places like Tsim Sha Tsui, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen, The Peak and all......where all those wonderful TVB dramas were filmed!!! -beams- :) those familiar blue overhead signs on the road got me all excited.. hahaha.. didnt help that my mom and my sis and i strongly felt that our guide Benny looked like Jian Zhi Chao (gao jie's bro-in-law!) from detective investigation files I. lol.

yep. i saw jackie chan's house. haha. at repulse bay where lotsa celebs have property apparently. incl eason! :) there were lotsa big billboards about the city.. my FAAVVE one was the one with the Initial D movie poster...JAYYY!!! :) haha kept seeing those adverts around..with his face plastered over buses and roadside posts.. lol..:):) saw the MTV on macau tv for the movie theme song which he wrote! pretty cool. and ya know what. the movie opens today. muahahahahhaha.

the movie premiere with anthonywong, shawn, edison and him was the day i got home!
found out that my flight back to sg was just a few hours after his flight to sg. sigh... it's fate.

niwae i've got so much to say i dunno what else i should say cept that to get the best of hk flavours, yu must really tuck in to the local delights from the small eateries and roadside restaurants...=) i ate at this breakfast cafe where tony leung apparently frequents! for the wonderful steamed(dun4) eggwhitewithmilk it serves. haha. feeling blessed.

haha ooh. i went into a casino for the first time in macau. quite an eye opener..
must have easily been the youngest person there.. quite affected by the amount of smoke around.. on the streets and everywhere else too.. was with my big sis when we got approached by a loanshark.. lurking abt the atm machine in the casino. bleh. freeaky. :S

will also never forget how we literally walked from hk to shenzhen, and from shenzhen to macau.. past a long linkway thru customs packed with HORRDES of people.. was really quite frightening..i got very paranoid cos i heard so much about how many people who visit shenzhen met with robbers and all...
people there just keep walking into u.. shoving past you without bothering to look back..even when there's obviously a lot of space on the road..very kek-king!!!
..so i was like hugging my bag all the way.. preparing myself mentally to execute those foot-stepping, fist-flinging moves at the first sign of danger.. hahaha..

as u can see it was really quite traumatising..but a really unforgettable experience nonetheless. hehs :)

at shenzhen i had the privilege of viewing two AMAZING cultural performances. really spectacular. the dances themself were already fantastic. the costumes were glorious. there were live animals used made it all so real as they talked bout farming life or the history of warfare.. like there were warriors riding on horses galloping across...

the sets and lighting and stagework and props and effects were simply world-class. woohoo..at first really didnt expect to be this blown away. really spectacular! :)
hahaha i was super inspired k..the stagework's just brilliant.

tour guide says if we didnt see this. we never came to shenzhen.
u can say my initial skepticism was uprooted. :)

oh yah..it was raining cats and dogs those days we were in hk..esp the last day when we met with a storm that raised the amber warning signal! haha and we headed to lanma island (famous for seaaafoood) despite that.. shoes were soaked the whole day man..good thing the rain did subside at the appropriate times for shopping :) 11 years ago when we came it was dec and there was a rain spell too. hmm. makes us wonder...

hahah gosh cant believe i rambled on so much..

yepyep. got boxes and boxes of old wife's biscuit spread all over the table right now...calling out to me to get to them...

as i embark on all the exercising and mugging i kicked aside for the trip...
believe i will miss shopping. and eating. and shopping. and eating. :)
(and hearing canto! hahas)

hope ya pple missed me too. lol.

cya soon people =)
